NatickImprov
History
NatickImprov was established in 2009 to bring the education and performance of improvisational comedy to the Central Massachusetts and Greater Boston area. They offer workshops to all welcomed guests of varying skill level. In 2010, NatickImprov formed its performance troupe "Penguin Apocalypse."
Group Style
NatickImprov allows participants to experience all types of improv styles but primarily specialize in short-form games and long-form scenes through their signature "Montage" format. Other long-form techniques they oftem apply involve the scene-based exercise of Sweeps and Taps or with the Harold method. NatickImprov will focus workshops on both short-form and long-form styles, as well as musical improvisation, and often invite audiences to attend their TheatreSports competition evenings and themed performances.
Penguin Apocalypse
NatickImprov created a performance troupe in 2010 through held auditions among the organization members. In 2011, the performance troupe adopted the moniker of "Penguin Apocalypse" and can seen performing throughout New England.
