The living room
From IRC Improv Wiki
The Living Room is a form revolving around performers sitting in chairs (in a horseshoe) having a discussion. The discussions are based on the audience suggestion. Eventually someone breaks into the center of the horseshoe and initiates a scene. Anywhere from just one to many scenes could evolve. When a topic is played out, someone that is still in the chairs initiates the conversation again by verbally taking the focus. Organically a new strain of a topic emerges and then more scenes. This goes back and forth between conversation and scene work. One important thing to note is that conversations get less frequent and scenes get more frequent.
