A longform improv comedy group in New York City. They perform regularly the first and third Fridays of every month at 8pm in the basement of the Triple Crown restaurant, as part of The Belmont Show, which they host. They also perform at various venues around New York City.

Current: Keith Bethea, Elihu Dietz, Lisa Kleinman, Matt Nedostup, Chris Principe, and Dede Tabak.

Began as a practice group late-December 2008. Original members: Bethea, Michael Capristo, Dietz, Kleinman, Arthur Meyer, Nedostup, Principe, and Tabak.

All original members were in the same Improv 401 class taught from October through December 2008 by Zach Woods at the UCB Training Center.

Were briefly known as "Sharpton!" after merging with another practice group in February 2009 consisting of Joanna Borns, Tim Duffy, Flannery Foster, and Grant O'Brien. This merger was short-lived, however, and remnants of this merging group, as well as Bethea and Capristo, chose to form another group, The Patsies. Bethea and Capristo were the only ones to remain members of both groups.

Performed their first show (as "Sharpton!") on March 8, 2009 at Triple Crown. Also performing at their debut show: Aww Shucks..., Prone to Injury, and Sprinkles!

Brian Barrett: December 2008 - August 2009

Dan Klein: August 2009 - present

Derived their name from the show they host at Triple Crown ("The Belmont Show"). The show's name, in turn, was created as a play on the name of the restaurant where they practice and perform (the name Triple Crown is a nod to the trio of horse races, of which The Belmont Stakes is one).
