Stranger is a PIT House Team that performs in repertory on Super Free Wednesday at 8pm at The Peoples Improv Theater.

History

The team was originally assembled by the PIT's ensemble committee on January 10th, 2011. Members has recently been shuffled from previous Pit House Teams Senator, Darling, and Lethal Kitty. Lucas Zachary Hazlett and Micah Sherman were new House Team Members when the team was created.

Their first show took place on January 12th, 2011 to a sold out audience at The Peoples Improv Theater.

Name Origin

The name Stranger is a direct pull from the first show the team performed together, when they were still unnamed. In the show, the first group game involved a drunk Billy Joel trying to record his 1977 album "The Stranger", but he and his band were too drunk to play their instruments.

Memorable Shows

On February 2nd, 2011, Stranger performed the Groundhog Day Show, a form they created moments before walking onstage for their Super Free Wednesday time-slot.

On Saturday, June 25th, 2011, Stranger filled in for Big Black Car on their 8pm showcase. To date, Stranger, Big Black Car and The Baldwins are the only PIT-developed talent to perform in this featured showcase timeslot.

Cast

Stranger is Lucas Zachary Hazlett, Erick Hellwig, Bradford Jordan, Chris Roberti, Micah Sherman, Rob Stern, Phil Wells and Michelle Wolf.
