Pj Jacokes is co-owner of Go Comedy! Improv Theater, as well as a seasoned improviser and instructor in Michigan's Metro Detroit area.


Pj has been teaching improv for nearly 10 years now. Along with Tommy LeRoy and Chris DiAngelo, he started Go U: The Improv Academy in October of 2008. He got his start at The Second City, Detroit where he taught for seven years and eventually became the Head Instructor. He also taught at The Improv Inferno in Ann Arbor.

As an actor, Pj has been a member of The Second City Detroit’s Touring Company, The Improv Inferno, The Planet Ant Theater, and U of M’s CRLT Players. At Go Comedy! Pj can be seen in Rock-O-Matic: The Improvised Rock Opera, The Go Comedy! All-Star Showdown, The Mighty They and Date Night.

Along with Chris DiAngelo, Pj starred in ‘Party Animals,’ a television pilot that finished second in the F/X network’s national pilot contest and, along with The Mighty They, recently filmed the pilot for an improv-based reality TV show. He’s directed a number of improvised and written shows in the area and can frequently be seen in Hungry Howies and ABC Warehouse commercials.
