Michael Short

Michael Short is an improviser currently based in New York City. He got his start performing shortform with his college's, SUNY Fredonia's, improv troupe in 1999. He has trained at the Second City in Cleveland (now defunct), the Magnet Theater, and has recently begun studying at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre. Teachers include George Caleodis, Fred Gloor, Tara Copeland, James Eason, Jean Villapique, Alex Marino, John O'Donnell, Armando Diaz, Asaf Ronen, Louis Kornfeld, and Betsy Stover. He has been part of the shows The Incredible Comic Book, Art Bomb!, and Sock: An Improvised Puppet Show. He has also been a member of the indie groups Conflikt of Interest, The Fever, and Magnet house team Yum Yum Bangkok. Even though everyone calls him "Mike," he prefers to be credited as "Michael Short."
