Martín Gobbée

Martín Gobbée went to Boston College for his undergraduate degree, class of 1993. He and Amy Poehler became good friends through the theater/improv scene at BC, and they moved to Chicago after graduating, in Sept. of '93. Their third roommate was another BC theater/improv alum, Kara McNamara. Small factoid: the apt. they shared in Lincoln Park used to be Chris Farley's before he left for SNL/NYC. Martín and Amy were in level 1 Improv at ImprovOlympic together, where they met Tina Fey. That level 1 class formed the majority of the original Inside Vladimir team. IV was coached by Matt Besser, and they would rehearse in Amy, Martín, and Kara's apt. After studying Improv for a year, Martin went on to get his MFA in Acting at Brandeis University ('96), then moved to NYC to pursue acting.
