Lauren Hobbs is an actor living in New York. She moved to New York to study theatre when she was eighteen. After her college graduation she saw THE SWARM peform for the first and died and went to heaven. A few years later she began studying improvisation at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre in 2005 with the goal of sharpening her listening skills, to become more courageous and inventive in developing characters, and to better herself as an actor overall. Lauren values saving up to see plays in New York, reading, riding the subway to museums with her sister, going to the movies, peanut butter, watching great films, anything with Ricky Gervais, SCTVs, and Kids in the Hall on rainy days, dressing up in boas and lipstick and costumes and making up dances to Kate Bush, Elton John, Tom Waits, Michael Jackson, to name a few, and most of all-taking as MANY classes as she can afford until she dies (Lauren is fairly poor and has no health insurance).

Lauren is a former member of the improv team BIG TOBACCO and is so happy and grateful to be currently performing with her indie improv team THE PILL in various theatres around the city.

TJ&DAVE are Lauren's improv heros.

So is every member of THE SWARM.

THE SWARM was, is, and always will be Lauren's favorite improv team.
