Illegal Refill is one of Philadelphia's newest and most talented improv comedy groups.  Just over one year old, the cast of Illegal Refill boasts over 30 years of combined improv experience.  All five cast members are alumni of Haverford College, where most cast members performed regularly on stage with Haverford improv institutions the Throng and the Lighted Fools.  Individually, the cast of Illegal Refill has distinguished themselves within Philadelphia's rapidly growing improv community.  Cast member Alexis Simpson (Rare Bird Show) was recently hired as the Philly Improv Theater (PHIT)'s Artistic Director, and cast member Scott Sheppard serves as director of one of PHIT's three original house teams.  Alexis Simpson, Nicholas Mirra, and Amie Roe have all garnered victories in Philadelphia's competition-based improv serial, TROIKA.  As a group, Illegal Refill have performed at venues throughout and around Philadelphia, recently appeared in the 2008 Del Close Marathon and Philly Fringe Festival, and are soon to appear in the 4th Annual Philadelphia Improv Festival and first ever Richmond Improv Festival (RIF).  Illegal Refill are coached by Dan Kramer, who both studied and performed at the famous iO Theater in Chicago.
