The HUGE Improv Theater is an artist-led organization company dedicated to supporting the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN) improv community through performance and education. HUGE Theater is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

In an effort to raise the visibility of the Twin Cities as a destination for some of the best, unscripted theater in the country, HUGE seeks to establish a home for those who love improv.

HUGE supports growth and visibility of our local improv community by producing shows, including Improv-A-Go-Go and Show X, as well as co-producing the annual Twin Cities Improv Festival.

In September 2010, they moved into a space in Uptown Minneapolis, at 3037 Lyndale Ave S.

History

HUGE Theater began in 2005 with five improvisers – Butch Roy, Jill Bernard, Joe Bozic, Mike Fotis, and Nels Lennes – collaborating to produce “Creature Feature” and a weekly showcase in Southeast Minneapolis called “HUGE Wednesdays.”

Butch, Jill and Nels continue to serve as the Executive Director, Education Director and Artistic Director of HUGE, and were joined in 2011 by Molly Chase as Managing Director. Mike and Joe went on to found Strike Theater, a home for sketch comedy, storytelling, and spoken work. HUGE incorporated as a non-profit in 2009 and found a permanent space in 2010.
