About

Dangerbox plays free monthly shows for the NYU student body, as well as perform in improv festivals across the country. They occassionally play the Magnet Theater and have recently been doing monthly shows with Student Driver at the Peoples Improv Theater. They are one of six NYU improv teams, the others being After School Special, Pasadena Golf Club, Home Improvment, Dirt Circle, and Bechdel Test. They occasionally share team members with the sketch group Hammerkatz.

Dangerbox performs annually in the National College Comedy Festival hosted by Skidmore College, as well as in the College Improv Tournament. They advanced to the finals of the 2011-2012 tournament after winning the Big Apple Regional.

Forms

Dangerbox has showcased several improv forms over the span of it's career, including Armandos, Harolds and more. They currently play with a modified Montage form, featuring monologues and the Documentary Opening, and occasionally experiment with the Monoscene and the La Ronde.
