Clifford Henderson and Dixie Cox, founders of the Fun Institute, teach improvisational acting and solo performance classes in Santa Cruz, CA. Their adult drop-in Improv classes are designed to activate students' imagination, spontaneity, and sense of humor through agreed-upon Adult Play (18+). With a combined total of more than 40 years of experience teaching acting, improv and team-building skills, the award-winning duo has presented workshops for high-tech businesses, university educators, retreat centers, psychotherapists, incarcerated women, a Zen community, stroke survivors, and the public at-large. They are also the creators of the popular two-woman show Detour Ahead: the Clifford & Dixie Show. Founders and original coordinators of the popular Santa Cruz Improvathon, they have also managed and played with the Improv troupe Loose Cannon Theater since 1996. For more information, visit
