The "clap in" form is one of the signature forms of Empty Stage Comedy:

  1. A group of players stands on the back wall of the stage while a scene is playing
  2. At an appropriate point a player will clap their hands loudly
  3. The plays already on stage will freeze
  4. The player that clapped will join the stage, doing the following:
    1. Bring in others they want to join scene
    2. Tagout those that they want to leave the stage
