Bridge

The "bridge" of a song is linking lyric material between two verses of a tagline song, or between either a verse and a chorus, or two choruses, of a verse/chorus song.

The bridge will usually contain a different or heightened perspective from previously-sung lyrics, and will also usually sound musically different from the rest of the song.
