Big Black Car is a formerly bi-coastal improv ensemble originally formed at the People's Improv Theater. For five years, they anchored the PIT's flagship show on Saturday nights at 8 pm. In February 2016 they were retired, and some members stayed together to form BBC2.

History

Big Black Car was the longest running house team at The PIT. Comprised primarily of PIT teachers, BBC is one of the premier house teams featured at the theater. They used to perform on Super Free Wednesday, but on October 2nd, 2010, they moved to Saturday nights with The Baldwins. This became the first prime-time show at the theater comprised exclusively of PIT-developed performers.

As of February 2015, Big Black Car has also begun to perform in Los Angeles at the Upright Citizens Brigade.
