Beth Appel studied improv and sketch comedy at the UCB Theater beginning in 2004.  Her teachers include included [[Shannon O’Neill]], [[Chris Gethard]], [[Anthony King]], [[Neil Casey]], [[Charlie Sanders]], [[Doug Moe]], [[Eric Scott]], and [[Will Hines]].  She currently writes for the [[UCB Maude Team]] [[High Treason]] and is a member of the [[UCB Harold Team]] [[Monstro]]. Beth graduated from Vassar College where she directed and performed in numerous plays and musicals and was a member of the not at all embarrassingly named sketch comedy group Happily Ever Laughter. She can also be seen performing with improv groups [[Shark Tank]] and [[Nap Time Inc.]].  Her sketch group [[Ham on the Bone]] (a name so not embarrassing you’re probably jealous) performs monthly at the [[Magnet Theater]] and she makes funny videos with The Basement. Beth wrote, directed, and performed in the sketch show "[[Sexual Dancing For Dummies]]". Beth also blogs for the Huffington Post just like fellow comedian Larry David.
