Amy Poehler

Amy Poehler is a performer and one of the original four founders of the UCBT.


Amy Poehler and Tina Fey were in many of the same classes at ImprovOlympic in the early nineties. They were both cast to a new team called Inside Vladimir and were widely recognized as two of the best improvisors in Chicago at the time. Amy first worked with the UCB when she and other members of Inside Vladimir were cast in a show called The Real Real World directed by Matt Besser. Amy also worked with the guys from The Family when they performed the Living Room. Soon after Amy joined the Upright Citizens Brigade and became one of the four core members who moved to New York in 1996 and who founded the UCB Theatres in NYC and LA.

In 2001, she was cast on Saturday Night Live and performed on the show until 2008. She is working on a Television sitcom with Greg Daniels which should air in 2009.

She is married to actor Will Arnett, (August 29, 2003). They have a boy named Archie (October 25, 2008).
