Achilles is a comedy writer and performer in New York City. He was born in The Philippines and moved to New York City with his family when he was 8 years old.
Achilles has been studying and performing improv and sketch at The UCB Theater since January 2005. He has appeared in many shows there including One Night Stand, Maude Night (guest performer), and Cagematch among others. He was also a member for the Harold team T.R.U.C.K.S.. In July 2007, he played Lord Voldemort in Up Late! With Lord Voldemort!, UCB's night of Harry Potter comedy. The sold out show, which he also wrote, directed, and produced, was featured in The Gothamist and NY Magazine's "Vulture Blog."
Outside of UCB, Achilles has studied at The Magnet Theater with Armando Diaz and independently with Christina Gausas. Achilles has also worked as a writer's assistant for the Onion News Network and developed a pilot for Sirius Satellite Radio. He has performed at many venues across the city with the independent groups Kid Dervin and The Fist Kisses. He has also appeared in commercials and on The Colbert Report.
He currently performs with the improv group Hot Lather as Dr. Constantino Marcockis in UCB's very own improvised soap opera, As The Diamond Burns. He is also a proud member of the Harold team Whorenado (rhymes with "tornado"), which performs Tuesdays on Harold Night. His favorite band is The Beatles.
No one has ever worked harder in the NYC improv scene than Achilles. For roughly three years, he was the first person in line every single week at both Harold Night and Asssscat. He was known to sprint to his favorite front row seat before New Team Harold each week, where he would stay until the final Harold was done. This dedication impressed everyone who came to know the legend of Achilles, although it is fair to say that there was also early concern over whether or not he was insane. When he gave up this trend, he officially passed "his seat" to Brenden McMullen.
Achilles rocks nice-ass track jackets.
